Our Story

At BOSS Genetics we’re passionate about empowering people to grow what feeds them and about creating unique designs that are tailored especially for you. Our journey began with a simple desire: to become more self-sustainable and to create strong, reliable seeds that deliver consistent harvests for growers of all levels. That quickly led to starting our own business and wanting to rock our own gear. We took up embroidery and before you know it we realized the world loves creativity just as much as it loves food.

How It Started

Like many growers, we started out wanting to take control of our own food. We thought, “Why pay a premium for something we could grow ourselves?” So we turned to seeds. Packet after packet we ran into the same problems — inconsistent germination, weak plants, and unpredictable yields. That frustration lit a spark. We dove headfirst into cultivation, experimenting, learning, and mastering the art of seed crafting. Years of trial and error, knowledge from across the world, and a willingness to keep improving taught us what makes a variety truly exceptional its time and selective breeding.

We founded BOSS Genetics in 2025, but the foundation was laid long before that. Years of breeding and selection helped us create the heirloom varieties we offer today. Looking forward, we hope to empower as many people as possible to grow their own food and preserve good genetics. If one day you no longer need us because you’re successfully growing and saving your own seed — that would be a success in our eyes. We continue to grow with your support and expand into more and more fields learning and creating as we go.
